** SCREENSHOTS OF THE SEQUEL! **
RaidenX is a 2D vertical-shooter Flash game which started off as one of my recent online games -
DUAL SYSTEM: Raiden IIS - Part A and Part B.
Both games are tributes to Raiden and Raiden II and (as many of you know) there were lots of glitches in them. I even wished I'd never uploaded them in the first place - as I was just a n00b at Flash programming back then. So why should I not remake the whole thing again, as now I have experience with programming?
So that was how development eventually started. Nothing much has changed, besides having additional features (e.g. save game) and fixed glitches (you know what they are!).

I've been making Flash for almost two years. Ever since I was five, my ambition was to create games where everyone (well the majority) will enjoy. Flash is my saviour!
Job: Flash/web designer who slacks off all the time
Likes: Fast food, cycling, drawing, complaining, staring at clouds, picking on people, etc.
Dislikes: Healthy food, dark places, being centre of attention, hackers... loads more.
I've been playing Raiden I and II way back in 1997, when I was 7. Needless to say that I was hugely addicted to it. Blasting enemy ships and saving the world were one of the fantasies I used to have when I was a kid.
Anyway... I'll see you all again when I release RaidenX2 (or whatever I feel like calling it next time)... AKA after a few months, depending on how school treats me.
Response to Reviews
Hey everyone. Thanks for taking time to review this game. Most popular question was will I continue making a sequel to this. Yes, I am. And it'll take a few months to half a year.
"The game is way too easy!"
Ever heard of changing the difficulty under the settings on the main menu? Change it to easy if you found it hard, or hard if you found it easy.
"Plasma ray + homing missiles = ownage."
No. It's the weakest combo in the game... (and not the fastest either) It's best to go with laser + homing missiles or plasma + nuclear missiles to compensate the lost power - because either homing or plasma are already more than enough for speed. Both attacks cover the screen nicely - realised that?
It doesn't help if you combine them together. As both are fast weapons, it's like a competition to see who pwns the most enemies first winz. Additionally, it's the only combination in the game which has no sense of teamwork.
"I can't beat the last boss. It's already one hour of shooting now."
- Why did you use plasma to lock-on when the boss is RIGHT IN FRONT of you?
- Do you need homings to chase the boss when it NEVER moves?
- Ever realised plasma + homing is the weakest combination in the game?
Here's how long it takes for each combination (at max level) to wreck the boss:
Laser + Nuclear = 15 sec
Vulcan + Nuclear = 30 sec
Laser + Homing = 40 sec
Plasma + Nuclear = 50 sec
Vulcan + Homing = 180 sec
Plasma + Homing = 600 sec
"Backgrounds can be improved."
Sorry - I had to optimise them to improve game-play performance. That's why I made up for graphics on the title screen animation. Hopefully, they'll be better in the next game.
"We want more powerups!"
Fine. I'll take your word for it in the next game!
Okay, I've finished the boring talk at last. Anyone with half a brain will know how to navigate through this site, so I'll leave it here for now. And just a reminder, a copy of RaidenX is found here!
